How it works

The Beverage Support Calculator helps brands, importers, and distributors size the support package behind a volume deal before they put it on the table. Enter the expected annual volume for the venue, your wholesale price per unit, and your gross margin, and the calculator works out the margin pool that commitment generates over the term of the deal.

From that pool you set the share you are willing to reinvest as venue support. That support can be split across the levers common in hospitality deals: listing fees, per-cocktail fees, bottle retro payments, and direct marketing contributions. The calculator shows the total support budget and how it breaks down per unit and per month.

Use the result as a negotiation ceiling, not a giveaway. Because every figure is tied to a volume target, you can offer support confidently knowing it only pays out if the venue delivers the sales that justify it.

Worked example

Say a cocktail bar commits to 600 bottles of your gin over 12 months. Your wholesale price is 18 EUR per bottle at a 45% gross margin, so each bottle generates about 8.10 EUR of margin and the deal produces roughly 4,860 EUR of margin across the year.

If you decide to reinvest 40% of that pool into venue support, you have about 1,944 EUR to work with, or 162 EUR per month. You might allocate 900 EUR as a listing fee, 600 EUR as a bottle retro (1 EUR per bottle sold), and 444 EUR toward a seasonal cocktail promotion, leaving a clear, volume-linked package you can defend in the negotiation.

Questions

Most hospitality deals combine listing fees, per-cocktail fees, bottle retro (rebate) payments, and marketing contributions. The calculator lets you split your total support budget across these so the offer matches how the venue actually earns and promotes your product.

There is no fixed rule, but tying support to a defined share of the margin a volume commitment generates keeps the deal profitable. Reinvesting a portion of that pool protects your margin while still giving the venue a reason to list and push your product.

It should be. The calculator sizes support against a committed volume, so the budget only makes sense if the venue delivers those sales. In Sipflow you can track actual volume against the target and align support payouts with real performance.
